Job summary

Fruitvale Healthcare Center, part of Mariner Healthcare, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate residents, develop care plans, and deliver direct treatment. The role includes interpreting hearing and speech tests and supporting swallow techniques.

A California license is required; a Master’s in SLP and Clinical Competency certification are preferred, with a sign-on bonus and standard benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
