Milestones Day School and Transitions Program in Waltham, MA seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide group social skills lessons and individual therapy focusing on speech and language development. You will write IEP goals, assess progress, collect data, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support students with autism spectrum disorders and learning differences.

Requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active MA licensure.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Massachusetts licensure in SLP
• Experience with language-based disorders and autism preferred

Mansioni

• Write IEP goals and progress reports for all students s/he works with
• Assure that all students are making progress toward their goals; inform parents if progress is not adequate
• Collect data on targeted benchmarks
• Follow service delivery grid as specified in student’s IEP
• Formally and informally assess students every 1-3 years
• Prepare group lesson plans to increase students' skill set
• Run classroom/community groups as assigned
• Write monthly curriculum blurbs for school website
• Participate in weekly meetings regarding students and teams
• Support new hires and existing staff in implementation of SLP practices
• Assess new students upon enrollment and create protocols; provide staff training
• Orient new students to MDS systems
• Collaborate with outside SLP clinicians to ensure consistency
• Collaborate with Milestones interdisciplinary team
• Provide individual services to students with specific SLP needs
• Maintain contact with parents/guardians
• Attend conferences/workshops to increase knowledge
• Maintain professional license status
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by admin team
