Job summary

Milestones Day School in Waltham, MA seeks a Speech and Language Pathologist to provide group and individual therapy, conduct evaluations, and consult with staff. The role supports students from elementary through post-high school in a private special education setting.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM with 5 hours weekly planning, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. MA licensure is required; experience with autism is preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters degree is required.
• Active Massachusetts Licensure in Speech and Language Pathology is required.
• Prior experience treating language-based learning disorders and working with students on the autism spectrum is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write IEP goals and progress reports for all students served.
• Ensure students progress toward goals and inform parents when progress is insufficient.
• Collect data on targeted benchmarks and monitor progress.
• Follow service delivery grid as specified in each IEP.
• Assess students formally and informally every 1–3 years.
• Prepare group lesson plans to enhance skills and run groups as assigned.
• Write monthly curriculum blurbs for school website.
• Attend meetings with families, staff, and teams to plan student services.
• Collaborate with outside SLP clinicians and Milestones interdisciplinary team.
• Provide individualized services per IEP and maintain family contact as needed.
