Job summary

The Pines at Placerville is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (Per Diem) to evaluate and treat residents' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs in a collaborative rehabilitation setting. You will develop individual plans and coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and families to maximize communication abilities and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a California SLP license; new grads are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current California Speech Language Pathologist license is required.
• New grads are encouraged to apply.
• CPR certification may be required by licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate residents and caregivers on aspiration prevention and communication strategies.
• Participate in care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and utilization reviews.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation.
