Qualifications

  • CPR certification within 60 days post hire or post expiration.
  • Previous pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates diverse pediatric patients to determine development and functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans and implements therapeutic activities to improve communication, swallowing or related functions.
  • Educates patients and families on goals and therapy plans and assesses home practice and understanding.
  • Documents caseload and submits timely notes, charges, and administrative records.
  • Communicates patient status and collaborates with physicians, payors, and other healthcare providers.
  • Provides education for hospital staff, students, and interns; supervises clinical fellows and licensed speech aides.
