Job summary

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Life Care Centers of America provides direct rehabilitation in speech therapy for patients referred by physicians, following applicable laws and Life Care standards. This role requires an MS/MA in SLP, active licensure, and ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, with CPR either on hire or during orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
• ASHA certified (CCCs) OR eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn CCCs and/or credentialing. Must maintain ASHA credentialing.
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State with active license.
• New grads welcome to apply; 1 year experience preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaises with patients, families, support departments, etc., to plan for patient needs.
• Demonstrates good body mechanics at all times.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards for post-acute care facilities.
