Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients per physician referral, complying with all laws and Life Care standards.

The ideal candidate holds an MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, and an active state license with CPR certification. New grads welcome; one year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
• ASHA certified (CCC) OR eligible for 9 month CFY to earn CCCs and maintain credentialing.
• Licensed in the applicable state; active license in good standing.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaises with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs.
• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times.
• Possess ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
• Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, and procedures.
• Chart appropriately and timely; use therapy software.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
