Job summary

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Life Care Centers of America provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients under physician referrals in a post-acute care setting.

Requirements include MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, active Missouri licensure, and ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility; CPR certification; and 1 year experience preferred, with new grads welcome to apply. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• ASHA CCCs or eligible for CFY; maintain credentialing.
• Active state licensure in Missouri; maintain current license.
• 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable goals for patients.
• Oversee and evaluate CFYs if applicable for SLP CCCs.
• Follow approved speech therapy treatment plans under supervision.
• Chart appropriately and timely; use therapy software accurately.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and work on an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain patient rights, safety, and sanitation; protect confidentiality.
• Adhere to company policies and complete mandatory compliance training.
