Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, MI is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat patients with speech, language, voice, swallowing and cognitive disorders. You will educate patients and families and work with the care team to maintain high standards of practice.

Required: accredited program graduate, CCC-ASHA, licensure, BLS; CFY with CCC completion within 3 months also accepted. Preferred: 1 year of experience. Daily work times vary; on-call not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of speech-language pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in Speech Pathology from ASHA.
• -OR- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with CCC completion within three months.
• Current State Board of Speech-Language Pathologist licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Preferred: One year of speech-language pathology experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment and treatment related to speech deficits and disorders; collaborates with patients/caregivers to set goals.
• Establishes an individualized plan of care and selects therapeutic interventions.
• Conducts ongoing reassessment of the patient and their response to treatment.
