Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a speech and language pathologist who will implement patient care services for individuals with speech, language, fluency, voice, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. Responsibilities include managing ongoing reassessments, documenting patient progress, and establishing individualized care plans. The ideal candidate should be a graduate of an accredited program, hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency, and possess current state licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of speech-language pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from ASHA is required.
• Current State Board licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• BLS certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and treatment for speech deficits.
• Establish individualized plans of care with appropriate interventions.
• Conduct ongoing reassessment of the patient’s response to treatment.
• Manage discharge planning from first visit to treatment end.
• Supervise ancillary staff and students as per state laws.
• Complete required documentation timely and accurately.
