Job summary

USA Staffing Network in Elmira, NY, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitative team in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role emphasizes direct therapy for pediatric and adult patients, collaboration with the medical team, and ongoing education to improve communication and swallowing outcomes.

The ideal candidate has an accredited SLP degree, NY licensure eligibility, ASHA CCC or eligibility, and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Eligible for New York State licensure and registration.
• CCC from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain.
• One to two years of hospital-based experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and create individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.
• Provide direct therapy to pediatric and adult patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and techniques.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with policy.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, in-service training, and continuing education.
• Contribute to development of innovative speech therapy programs and services.
• Possible float to other nearby centers.
