Job summary

MDS Staffing is recruiting a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role in Elmira, NY, serving both outpatient and inpatient settings in the Southern Finger Lakes region.

Graduate of an accredited SLP program with NY licensure eligibility and ASHA CCC (or eligibility) is required. BLS must be obtained within 90 days. New graduates are encouraged to apply, with competitive pay and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Eligible for New York State licensure and registration.
• CCC from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain.
• 1–2 years hospital-based experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and create individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.
• Provide direct therapy to pediatric and adult patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and techniques.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, in-service training, and continuing education.
• Contribute to development of innovative speech therapy programs and services.
• Possible float to other nearby center.

Education

Accredited Speech-Language Pathology program graduate

New York State licensure and registration eligible/required
