Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy seeks a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our outpatient clinics in Bayside, Queens and Great Neck. The role supports both adult and pediatric patients in a diverse caseload, with opportunities across Aphasia, Dysphagia, TBI, voice and cognitive-communication disorders.

We offer a part-time or full-time position with a Monday–Friday schedule and a competitive compensation package, including a rich benefits program.

Qualifications

• Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
• Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP
• Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course)

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes.

Education

Job Description

What we are looking for: Metro's Speech Department continues to grow, and we are looking for a part-time or full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to work in 2 of our outpatient clinics (Bayside, Queens & Great Neck). Caseload is mixed and demographics include Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, TBI, Voice, Cognitive Communication Disorders, AAC use, etc. Experience with both adults and pediatrics is required.

Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients’ strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. We’re looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges.

• Pay salary: $65,000- $90,000 per year
• Location: Bayside, Queens and Great Neck
• Schedule: Mon-Fri
