Job Description

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in communicative science and disorders

Texas license as Speech-Language Pathology or Assistant granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

Master's degree in communication disorders and successful performance on national exam in speech-language pathology (CCC/CFY preferred, not required)

Experience:

Fifty hours of clinical observation and assisting experience as required for licensure.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to use the accepted tests and measurements to assess and evaluate communication disorders and conditions
• Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions
• Ability to align speech and language goals and activities with student curriculum and education programs
• Ability to instruct and manage student behavior
• Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
