Speech Language Pathologist

McGlynn Elementary Pre-K to 5th grade

Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team; provide evaluation and intervention services for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders and help students access educational and social curricula.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our school-based teams.

Experience working in public school setting as well as experience working with students with social-emotional-behavioral needs preferred

The appropriate candidate will work closely with special education staff to address the needs of students in PreK to middle school.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional supports and strategies for special education students according to IDEA requirements.
• Attend IEP meetings/staffing and other meetings as requested
• Support teachers in developing and; implementing social and language-based supports
• Complete needed paperwork and job-related functions in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain schedule including intervention and Team meetings
• Gather, collate and/or classify data; generate reports and consider a wide variety of factors
• Utilize a variety of job-related equipment and assistive technology and AAC
• Routinely attend district and school-based meetings, training and professional development
• Compliance with existing laws and professional ethics
• Maintenance of appropriate continuing education credits, as well as state licensure
• Other duties as requested by the Coordinator of Related Services, Pupil Personnel Director, or Building Principal
• Travel to more than one work location in the course of the day may be required

QUALIFICATIONS
