Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to work in an ALF/Memory Care setting in Montclair, NJ. This per diem role focuses on assessing patients, devising creative but effective treatment plans, and collaborating with the care team to deliver high-quality therapy.

Ideal candidates hold NJ licensure (or eligibility) and CCC-SLP, with the ability to educate family members and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in NJ or eligible.
• CCC-SLP certification required.
• Evaluates patients and develops tailored speech therapy plans.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a patient's need for speech therapy and develop an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide care and treatment according to physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards.
• Instructs family members and caregivers in speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs.

Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist to work in an ALF/Memory Care setting who excels at assessing patients’ strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. We’re looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges.

• Pay rate: $70-$90 /hour


• Location: Montclair, NJ (ALF setting)

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)


• Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.


• Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.


• Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP


• Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course)
