Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a motivated Speech Therapist for a per diem role in Montclair, NJ. You will assess patients, develop tailored treatment plans, and deliver high-quality care in an ALF/m memory care setting.

Requirements include NJ licensure or eligibility and CCC-SLP certification. You will also educate families and aides on therapy techniques and home exercise programs.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New Jersey.
• CCC-SLP certification required or in progress.
• Experience evaluating speech therapy needs and planning treatment.

What we are looking for:

Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist to work in an ALF/Memory Care setting who excels at assessing patients’ strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. We’re looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges.

• Pay rate: $70-$90 /hour


• Location: Montclair, NJ (ALF setting)

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New Jersey or eligible.


• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)


• Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.


• Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.


• Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP


• Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course)
