Job summary

King Manor, located in New Jersey, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to organize and conduct speech-language programs for rehabilitation. The SLP will direct resident participation to restore and enhance communication and swallowing skills, while promoting health and well-being.

Responsibilities include evaluating residents, developing goals, coordinating devices, and collaborating with the rehab team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Master's Level Speech Language curriculum certified by ASHA.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state.
• Eligible for a CCC from ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops treatment goals and implements speech therapy plans; documents progress.
• Coordinates acquisition of adaptive communication devices and trains residents in use.
• Selects appropriate activities aligned with resident abilities and interests.
• Consults with rehab team to tailor therapy regimens to residents' needs.
• Instructs on skills for participation in activities and evaluates progress.
