Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers in New Rochelle, NY seeks a Speech Therapist/Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to lead rehabilitation programs. You will assess residents, design goals, implement therapy plans, and coordinate with the rehab team to optimize communication and swallowing abilities.

The role offers hourly pay of $60–$65 with benefits including health, life and disability insurance, 401K, holiday pay, PTO, overtime, and flexible full/part-time or per diem schedules.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops goals and methods, implements therapy plans and documents results; covers cognitive, communication, speech, dysphagia, and related areas.
• Coordinates acquisition of adaptive communication devices and trains residents in their use.
• Selects activities suited to each resident’s capacity, intelligence and interest.
• Consults with rehab team to choose appropriate therapeutic regimens.
• Instructs residents in skills and techniques for participation and tracks progress and attitudes.
• Adapts programs to meet individual resident needs.
• Attends and contributes to resident care and related meetings.
• Conducts training programs for medical, nursing and other staff in speech therapy techniques and objectives.
• Supervises supportive personnel per state and professional standards.
• Maintains and reports on equipment condition and needs for repair.
• Ensures residents and families receive high quality service in a caring environment.
