Job summary

Rincon Valley Union Elementary School District is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assist staff in assessing, planning, and implementing instructional programs for students with communication disorders. You will provide direct therapy and collaborate with teachers to remediate speech, language, and hearing impairments within the educational program.

The position requires a MA/MS in Communications Disorders/Speech Pathology and a valid CA SLP credential.

Qualifications

• MA/MS in Communication Disorders/Speech Pathology required.
• California Speech-Language Pathology Services Teacher Credential or equivalent required.
• Ability to collaborate with families, teachers and staff to implement IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Provides a program to meet needs of students with speech, language, hearing and communication disorders.
• Collaborates with families, teachers and staff to observe, refer and describe students with suspected or identified disorders.
• Develops and implements IEP goals and progress monitoring.
• Delivers direct speech therapy services to students per IEP and provides language interventions in class.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information and records.
• Participates in meetings (IEP, RTI) and staff trainings.
