Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat pediatric speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, improving communication and quality of life through targeted therapies.

The role requires a Master’s degree in SLP, an Ohio license, and ASHA certification or eligibility; CPR must be completed within 60 days. Pediatric experience is preferred; clinical fellows and licensed aides may be supervised.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Valid Ohio License in Speech Pathology required.
  • ASHA Certification or eligibility for supervision during fellowship required.
  • CPR certification within 60 days after hire/post expiration.
  • Prior pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates pediatric patients to determine developmental and functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans and educates patients and families on goals and home activities.
  • Administers therapy to address developmental delays and functional deficits and adjusts plans as needed.
  • Documents clinical activities and maintains caseload scheduling and timely documentation.
  • Collaborates with physicians, payors, and other healthcare providers.
  • Conducts educational programs and supervises students, fellows, and licensed aides.
