Job summary

Open Arms Care is seeking a licensed speech-language pathologist to provide comprehensive services to clients with speech, language, voice disorders, and dysphagia. You will conduct evaluations, develop clinical recommendations, and coordinate with the client's support network to improve communication outcomes.

Requirements include a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Tennessee licensure, CCC-SLP, and at least one year of supervised clinical experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Tennessee license as a speech-language pathologist (SBESLPA).
  • Certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • May be required to lift and transfer clients or assist with positioning.
  • Ability to use accepted tests to assess communication disorders.
  • Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • One year supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent evaluations to assess speech or language disorders to determine needed services.
  • Develop clinical recommendations and strategies by interpreting observations and data.
  • Participate in ISP meetings and Circle of Support Meetings and interpret assessment data.
  • Collaborate with Circle of Support to plan and implement communication-improvement activities.
  • Provide professional development to help employees identify communication deficits and dysphagia hazards.
  • Assist in developing dysphagia training in employee orientation.
  • Assist in selecting equipment and instructional materials.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and documents.
  • Comply with CMS and state regulations.
