Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist in Crystal Lake, IL to evaluate, plan, and implement treatment for diverse patient diagnoses. The role supports 30 hours per week with variable day shifts across Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic locations.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, IL or WI licensure (or both), and CCC from ASHA; CPR/BLS due within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Licensed in IL or WI as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
• CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation/assessment using evidence-based standards to create an effective plan of care.
• Develops and implements treatment plans to improve functional outcomes.
• Maintains thorough documentation with appropriate coding and billing.
• Collaborates with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes.
• Participates in training, mentoring, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintains high standard of patient care and communicates effectively with care teams.
• Occasional cross-location travel for coverage.
