Job summary

Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat a variety of diagnoses and plan effective care. You will document thoroughly and collaborate with nursing and physicians across locations.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure in WI/IL or both, and CCC from ASHA. CPR/BLS is required within 90 days of hire; travel to other Mercyhealth locations for cross-coverage is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Licensure as a speech-language pathologist in WI, IL, or both.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation/assessment to create an effective plan of care.
• Applies integrative treatment to improve functional level.
• Maintains thorough documentation with coding and billing.
• Communicates with other disciplines and referring providers.
• Mentors new partners and participates in department initiatives.
• Plans and conducts lectures on speech-language pathology for staff and community.
