Job summary

Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and implement treatment plans addressing the functional needs of a variety of patient diagnoses. Schedule is 24 hours per week with hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, WI/IL licensure (or both), CCC from ASHA, and CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire. Travel to other locations for cross coverage is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited school.
• Licensed as a speech language pathologist in WI, IL, or both.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR/BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation/assessment using evidence-based standards to create an effective plan of care.
• Applies critical thinking and integrative treatment to improve patient function.
• Maintains thorough electronic documentation with proper coding and billing.
• Collaborates with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes.
• Mentors new partners and participates in professional development activities.
• Participates in cost-saving initiatives within the department.
• Engages in Performance Improvement processes and communicates effectively with medical staff.
