Job summary

Qualifications

• Is licensed as an SLP by the state in which they provide services.
• For non-licensed states, must meet state requirements and national exam as outlined.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of referral.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans from referring physician.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
• Supervise SLPAs in direct patient care.
• Record evaluations and treatment notes per policy and payer requirements.
• Instruct families or nursing staff for discharge preparation.
