Job summary

Trellis Paradise in Las Vegas seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients, supervise CFY/SLP assistants, and educate families and staff for discharge. The role requires licensure in the state and a strong background in documentation and interprofessional collaboration.

Responsibilities include timely evaluations, developing treatment plans, maintaining records, and participating in care conferences and staff training to support ongoing patient care quality.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensed SLP in the state where services are provided.
• 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum completed.
• At least 9 months of supervised full-time SLP experience after degree.
• National exam in SLP approved by the HHS Secretary; proficient with Casamba/Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours, or 1 business day of referral.
• Develop effective treatment plans and obtain physician approval.
• Treat patients per physician treatment plan.
• Supervise CFY/SLP Assistants in direct patient care and related activities.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisor and health team.
• Record evaluations and notes per policy and payer requirements.
• Educate families and nursing staff for discharge preparation.
