Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric speech therapy in home health and daytime facilities. You will assess and treat children aged 0–21, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and educate families and staff on therapy plans and progress.

The role requires a TX license, a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, and pediatric/home health experience. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; valid auto insurance and driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• Licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Feeding experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services at patients' homes or daytime facilities for ages 0–21, 2+ times per week.
• Define patient speech, language, voice, and related impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training and materials for the program.
• Provide supervision to Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience if applicable.

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
