Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc. in California seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide home- and community-based early intervention services for infants and toddlers. You will assess development, implement IFSP goals, and coach families to support progress, including virtual sessions as needed.

The role emphasizes family-centered care, bilingual communication when possible, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in flexible home-based settings.

Qualifications

• California Speech Language Pathology license.
• Pediatric experience in early intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow IFSP and work with families to set developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in children’s natural environments; home, daycare, and community settings; virtual services available.
• Prepare re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
