Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc. seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver early intervention services to infants and toddlers in home and community settings.

You can also provide virtual sessions and work with families to achieve developmental goals. Responsibilities include assessments, IFSP implementation, caregiver coaching, progress reporting, and maintaining confidentiality in line with HIPAA and state/federal rules.

Qualifications

• California Speech Language Pathology license is required.
• Pediatric experience with Early Intervention preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy using Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow IFSP and work with families to set developmental goals.
• Build caregiver skills to ensure progress generalization.
• Provide services in homes, daycare centers or community settings; virtual sessions available.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports, typically bi-annual.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
