Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking Speech Therapists to provide home-based early intervention for infants and toddlers. You’ll work with families in their homes and community settings, delivering services that support developmental goals.

Qualifications

• California Speech Language Pathology license.
• Pediatric Early Intervention experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with families to set actionable goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and skill transfer.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment—home, daycare, or community settings; virtual options available.
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
