Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Speech Therapist to provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers in their homes or community settings across California.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support families and help children achieve developmental goals while using a family-centered coaching approach. The role offers flexible scheduling and locations, mileage reimbursement, a tech stipend, and access to medical benefits.

Qualifications

• Current California Speech-Language Pathology license.
• Experience working with infants and toddlers in early intervention.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental speech assessments and provide services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow IFSPs and collaborate with families to reach developmental goals.
• Deliver services in children's natural environments (home, daycare, community settings; virtual possible).
• Prepare progress reports and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
