Overview

Vista Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Services team. As an SLP, you will play a key role in helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational and physical therapists, nursing staff, and families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance communication and swallowing function.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred (CFY applicants welcome to apply).
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, but not required.
