Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare Corporation's Rumford Hospital in Rumford, ME is seeking a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist for the Speech and Hearing department. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders under physician orders.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, implementing therapy, and contributing to program development. Requires master's in SLP, active state license, CCC-SLP or CF eligibility, 1 year hospital

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.
• Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action – OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.
• At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

Rumford Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $35.00 to $ 43.76 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
