Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare in Rumford, ME is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and implement treatment for patients with speech, language, cognition, swallowing and related disorders in the Speech and Hearing Department. This part-time role is in Rumford Hospital, with 8-hour daytime shifts.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, an active state license, and ASHA CCC-SLP or SLP-CF consideration with supervision.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.
• Active state licensure to practice SLP in Maine required.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA or SLP-CF considered with supervision.
• Minimum one year hospital experience.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.

2. Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.

3. Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action – OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.

4. At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.

5. Current BLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.

Rumford Hospitaloffers competitivecompensationand a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $35.00to $43.76per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will bedeterminedat the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
