Job summary

Ampersand Therapy in New Bern, NC is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 2026-2027 school-year, full-time, on-site. You will provide speech-language services in a K-12 setting, conduct assessments, write evaluation reports, and support IEP goals with mentorship for CFs.

Qualifications

• Licensed as Speech-Language Pathologist by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Eligible for North Carolina licensure through the Department of Public Instruction.
• Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders required.
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; school-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services in a K-12 school setting.

• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams.
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication.
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills.
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

About the Role

Hi, SLPs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a school-based position in New Bern, NC. You’ll support students by providing speech and language services that directly impact communication and learning. This role is ideal for both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs), with strong mentorship provided.
