Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year in Hickory, NC.

You will provide speech-language pathology services in a K-12 setting, conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers and families to support student progress. Mentorship is available for CFs.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders is required.
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply; mentorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services in a K-12 school setting.
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams.
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication.
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.

You'll support students by providing speech and language services that directly impact communication and learning. This role is ideal for both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs), with strong mentorship provided.

What You'll Do

• Provide speech-language therapy services in a K-12 school setting
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
