Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a part-time school-based position in Mocksville, NC. The role offers 30 hours per week for the 2026-2027 school year with benefits for 0.8 FTE and above, including W-2 employment and liability insurance.

You will deliver speech-language therapy in a K-12 setting, perform assessments, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers and families to support student communication and learning.

Qualifications

• NC Board of Examiners licensure required or eligibility
• Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• School-based experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services in a K-12 school setting
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Licensure from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
• Eligibility for North Carolina licensure as a speech-language pathologist through the Department of Public Instruction
• Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• School-based experience preferred, not required
