Job summary

IEP Therapy in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 26/27 school year. In this role, you will provide speech and language therapy services in K-12 settings, working closely with teachers and families to enhance student communication skills.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a State SLP license. Additional preferred qualifications include experience in school therapy and knowledge of evidence-based practices. The position offers competitive hourly rates and robust benefits.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited program.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in speech therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct formalized assessments to determine eligibility.
  • Develop and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Consult with teachers and families to support communication.

26/27 School Year | $50-$65/hour | Full-Time | Minneapolis, MN | State SLP and PEL License Required

About the Role

Provide speech and language therapy services to students in K-12 school settings. You'll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to help students improve communication skills and access their education. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct formalized and dynamic assessments to determine eligibility and level of functioning
  • Ability to conduct Speech Assessments in Spanish.
  • Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members
  • Provide direct speech therapy services aligned with IEP goals
  • Complete and maintain compliant IEPs; participate in annual and triennial reviews
  • Consult with teachers and families to support generalization of communication skills
  • Maintain accurate therapy notes, assessment data, and progress documentation
  • Supervise and support SLPAs, including monitoring supervision hours (if applicable)
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred
  • One year of experience in speech therapy
  • Department of Education certification
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs
  • Experience with school-based caseload management
