Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Speech Therapist to deliver early intervention services to infants and toddlers in home and community settings, with virtual options available. You will assess, plan, and deliver speech therapy within IFSP guidelines, collaborating closely with families to reach developmental goals.

The role emphasizes family coaching, bilingual communication when helpful, and a flexible, supportive work environment across California.

Qualifications

• California Speech Language Pathology license is required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Work with IFSP to develop strategies with families to reach developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and transfer progress to daily life.
• Provide services in children's natural environments; in homes, daycare centers or community settings; virtual services available.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annual.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
