Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Speech Therapist to deliver home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers in California.

You will work with families to implement language goals aligned with each child’s IFSP, often in the home or community settings, with options for virtual sessions. We offer competitive hourly rates ($65–$75), sign-on bonus up to $1000, flexible schedules and locations, professional development, and paid admin time.

Qualifications

• California Speech Language Pathology license is required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience is preferred.
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent written & oral communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and collaborate with families to achieve developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregivers’ confidence and skills.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, homes, daycare centers, and other community settings; virtual services available.
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annual.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
