Heights Care & Rehabilitation in Denver, CO is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help residents regain communication and swallowing safety. The role requires a CO-licensed SLP with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology; CCC-SLP is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Colorado.
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or relevant clinical settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents with communication, cognitive, speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans designed to maximize resident outcomes
  • Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions
  • Assess and manage dysphagia, swallowing safety, and dietary recommendations
  • Collaborate with nursing, dietary, therapy, physicians, and families to ensure coordinated care
  • Participate in care planning and discharge planning meetings
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety recommendations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Help residents achieve the highest possible level of independence and quality of life

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Colorado
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for improving the lives of older adults
  • Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred, but not required
  • Clinical Fellowship candidates may be considered
