Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our not-for-profit senior care team in North Carolina. You will evaluate and treat residents for swallowing and communication disorders, build individualized treatment programs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment.
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments, utilizing evidenced based techniques.
• Establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs based on a full clinical evaluation.
• Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients.
• Treat residents one on one with private treatment sessions and a functional-based approach.
• Desirable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements.
