Job summary

Elderwood Administrative Services in New York is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans addressing communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders. This role offers Full time - Part Time - Per Diem options with flexible scheduling and a focus on clinical autonomy.

You will work with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families to maximize functional outcomes and improve quality of life, while providing mentorship and growth

Qualifications

• M.A. or M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school.
• State license to practice as an SLP.
• ASHA Clinical Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• CPR/BLS credential current.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Provide speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing therapy services.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers.
• Participate in care planning and discharge planning activities.

Position Overview:

• As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that address communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• You will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, residents, and families to maximize functional outcomes and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

SLP: Speech-Language Pathologist:

• Evaluate residents and establish individualized treatment plans

Qualifications

SLP: Speech-Language Pathologist:

• M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school required.
• State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association preferred.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.
• Current, valid CPR/BLS credential.
• Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required.
• Verification of qualifications by the State Department of Health
• Rehabilitation Therapies (license number/certification number) required.
• Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.
