Job summary

Soliant is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist for an onsite role with potential for one day per week remote paperwork work. This full-time position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid license (TX preferred). CCC is a plus and experience in school settings is preferred.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, manage a caseload, and contribute to IEP development while supporting students’ communication skills and progress.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed in Texas or eligible to practice as an SLP in the state.
  • CCC certification is preferred by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Identify students with communication impairments.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to assess impact on progress.
  • Develop and implement instructional modifications for communication goals.
  • Provide materials to educators and families to support communication.
  • Manage a caseload including direct/indirect services and co-teaching.
  • Maintain records and performance data for students.
  • Supervise para-educators and graduate students.
  • Mentor new speech-language pathologists.
  • Participate in school teams and audits as required.
  • Deliver in-service trainings to colleagues.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
  • Valid TX State Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
Previous Experience Working In a School Setting Is Preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Full Time - 1 day work from home for paperwork/week

Caseload: Discussed in an interview

Pay: Dependent on experience

Performance Responsibilities
  • Identify students with communication impairments.
  • Collaborate with other educational staff to determine the impact of communication impairment on student progress.
  • Develop and assist in the implementation of instructional and curricular modifications.
  • Provide materials that promote communication development to other educators and families. Participate in student IEP development and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a caseload intervention schedule providing time for direct and indirect services, classroom collaboration and co-teaching, screenings and evaluations, materials preparation and voice output device programming.
  • Maintain student records and performance data.
  • Supervise speech/language-trained para-educator and graduate students as assigned.
  • Mentor to new speech/language pathologists.
  • Participate as required on Building Student Improvement Teams, speech/language department committees and projects, special education committees, projects, or audits.
  • Provide in-service to colleagues.
  • Must complete all Special Education paperwork including IEPs and Medicaid billing.
