Job summary

Soliant, an education staffing partner, seeks an onsite School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida to support student communication needs within a multidisciplinary team.

Required: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and FL state license; ASHA CCC preferred. Responsibilities include IEP participation, direct/indirect services, and collaboration with educators to tailor interventions.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Valid FL State Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
  • CCC from ASHA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify students with communication impairments.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to determine impact on progress.
  • Develop and assist in instructional and curricular modifications.
  • Provide materials for communication development to educators and families; participate in IEPs.
  • Maintain caseload with direct/indirect services, collaboration, screenings, and evaluations.
  • Maintain student records and performance data.
  • Supervise para-educator and graduate students as assigned.
  • Mentor new speech-language pathologists.
  • Participate in building teams, committees, audits, and in-service activities.
  • Complete all Special Education paperwork including IEPs and Medicaid billing.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
  • Valid FL State Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
Previous Experience Working In a School Setting Is Preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Performance Responsibilities
  • Identify students with communication impairments.
  • Collaborate with other educational staff to determine the impact of communication impairment on student progress.
  • Develop and assist in the implementation of instructional and curricular modifications.
  • Provide materials that promote communication development to other educators and families. Participate in student IEP development and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a caseload intervention schedule providing time for direct and indirect services, classroom collaboration and co-teaching, screenings and evaluations, materials preparation and voice output device programming.
  • Maintain student records and performance data.
  • Supervise speech/language-trained para-educator and graduate students as assigned.
  • Mentor to new speech/language pathologists.
  • Participate as required on Building Student Improvement Teams, speech/language department committees and projects, special education committees, projects, or audits.
  • Provide in-service to colleagues.
  • Must complete all Special Education paperwork including IEPs and Medicaid billing.
