Job summary

Soliant is seeking an onsite School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist in San Antonio, TX for a full-time role. You will identify students with communication impairments, collaborate with staff, and support IEP development.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in SLP, a Texas license, and preferably CCC from ASHA; strong teamwork and organizational skills are essential. Start date is negotiable with competitive benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Valid Texas State SLP license is required.
• CCC from ASHA is preferred.
• Previous school setting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify students with communication impairments.
• Collaborate with educational staff to assess impact on student progress.
• Develop and assist in the implementation of instructional and curricular modifications.
• Provide materials to educators and families to promote communication; participate in IEP development.
• Maintain a caseload scheduling for direct/indirect services, collaboration, screenings, and evaluations.
• Maintain student records and performance data.
• Supervise speech-language-trained para-educators and graduate students as assigned.
• Mentor new speech-language pathologists.
• Participate in building student improvement teams and related committees.
• Provide in-service trainings to colleagues.
• Complete Special Education paperwork including IEPs and Medicaid billing.

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.

Previous Experience Working In a School Setting Is Preferred.

Performance Responsibilities

• Identify students with communication impairments.
• Collaborate with other educational staff to determine the impact of communication impairment on student progress.
• Develop and assist in the implementation of instructional and curricular modifications.
• Provide materials that promote communication development to other educators and families. Participate in student IEP development and implementation.
• Develop and maintain a caseload intervention schedule providing time for direct and indirect services, classroom collaboration and co-teaching, screenings and evaluations, materials preparation and voice output device programming.
• Maintain student records and performance data.
• Supervise speech/language-trained para-educator and graduate students as assigned.
• Mentor to new speech/language pathologists.
• Participate as required on Building Student Improvement Teams, speech/language department committees and projects, special education committees, projects, or audits.
• Provide in-service to colleagues.
• Must complete all Special Education paperwork including IEPs and Medicaid billing.
