Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team to provide acute care and/or outpatient services for adults and pediatrics with swallowing, cognition, and communication challenges.

You will join a compassionate community, with extensive onboarding, training, and ongoing education opportunities to support professional growth and patient outcomes.

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Pathology is required.
• Clinical certification or fellowship completed in Speech‑Pathology.
• NY State licensure is required for appointment.

Openings are available to provide acute care services and/or outpatient services for adults and pediatrics with diagnoses including stroke, brain injury, head and neck cancer, SCI, cardiac conditions, and chronic airway. Upstate provides extensive onboarding, training, mentoring, and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

To become a member of our caring and effective team you must ensure the following qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Pathology
• Clinical certification in Speech‑Pathology (or equivalent)
• NY State licensure
• Completion of clinical fellowship
• BLS‑CPR certification required by the time of appointment
