Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our patient-centered team. You will provide acute care and outpatient services for adults and pediatrics, addressing swallowing, cognition, and communication challenges.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology required.
• Clinical certification in Speech Pathology required.
• New York State licensure required.
• Completion of clinical fellowship required.
• BLS-CPR certification required by time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute care and outpatient Speech-Language Pathology services for adults and pediatrics across a range of diagnoses (e.g., stroke, brain injury, head and neck cancer, SCI, cardiac conditions).
• Participate in onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing educational opportunities to grow skills and contribute to patient care.

Education

To become a member of our caring and effective team you must:

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
• Clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent)
• NYS licensure
• Completion of clinical fellowship
• BLS-CPR certification required by time of appointment
