Job summary

Small Wonders Big Ideas Family Center is seeking compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists to provide Early Intervention services to infants and toddlers across Illinois as Independent Contractors. You can set your own schedule and availability, choose geographic areas to work, and build a caseload that fits your lifestyle while receiving referrals from our agency.

Work independently with family-centered care and receive administrative and agency support to grow your caseload.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
• Illinois Early Intervention credential or eligibility.
• Experience with infants and toddlers preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized speech and language services to infants and toddlers in Early Intervention.
• Support communication, feeding, and other developmental needs within scope of practice.
• Use play-based, developmentally appropriate intervention strategies.
• Coach and collaborate with parents and caregivers.
• Provide services in the child's natural environment and complete required documentation.

What You'll Do

As an Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:

• Provide individualized speech and language services to infants and toddlers
• Support communication, language, feeding, and other developmental needs within your scope of practice
• Use developmentally appropriate, play-based intervention strategies
• Coach and collaborate with parents and caregivers
• Provide services in the child's natural environment
• Complete required clinical documentation in a timely manner
• Participate in IFSP and team collaboration as required
• Maintain required Illinois licensure and Early Intervention credentials

What We're Looking For

• Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Appropriate Illinois Early Intervention credential or eligibility
• Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
• Reliable transportation
• Professional liability insurance, as required

Compensation

Starting rate: $46 per completed 60-minute session
